Daily Paintings Music was a sound installation made to accompany an exhibition of daily paintings made by the award-winning artist Katie Sollohub.

For 30 to 40 minutes every day, Katie sits down and paints one of the ordinary everyday things that surround her. On one of those days Rebecca recorded her doing this and recorded her talking about the process.

The daily paintings were exhibited over three weekends in June 2018 accompanied by Rebecca's 32 minute 26 second sound installation on a loop. Comprised of newly composed songs accompanied by the sounds of the artist at work interspersed with extracts of the recordings of Katie's speech, it's an intimate soundtrack designed to complement and enhance the act of looking and seeing.
