"..her voice is magnificent" - Everything Theatre

Rebecca sings and teaches singing.
She also writes and arranges music, runs choral workshops, is a performer, double bass player and musical director. Jazz is her first love and her earliest "teachers" were Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Carmen McRae. Later she studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and continues to explore the rich and varied repertoire of the genre and develop her craft as a performer and improviser.
With many years of experience under her belt, she has performed in venues large and small, at home and abroad, including Shakespeare's Globe, the National Theatre and jazz clubs up and down the country.
As a composer and bandleader, she has toured her music to venues and festivals around the UK and abroad, including the Montreal Jazz Festival and the Linbury Theatre (Royal Opera House). She receives commissions for her work and has written and arranged many choral pieces. Find out about some of the projects she's led and taken part in here.
Her work as a professional musician has always been complemented by her practice as a vocal coach and workshop leader. Read about her varied teaching experience and testimonials here.
